Harvested today, 22nd August 2012.
When you meet a master swordsman, show him your sword. When you meet a man who is not a poet, do not show him your poem.
The wheat is now ready to harvest....
The wheat is turning golden....
After a long period of rain, the wheat is now one metre tall. It is covered by a net to protect it from birds.Next week should be sunny and warm!
A lot of rain this week, little sunshine.
Wheat in progress...
The ears have formed in the past few days!
This image was taken on 24th June. The wheat is now about 60 cms tall. No watering.
A little weeding over the past few days, of the larger weeds. There has been rain in the past week and more is expected. This area has not been watered at all since planting.
Still growing well, with some weeds. Not watered yet, although the ground is quite dry.Height: 30 cms
Now at 17 cms...
Now about 10 cms tall. Doing well! Some small weeds. I have taken the netting off. Very pleased!
This is clearly the wheat growing. Maybe 2 to 3 cms tall now.
I think this is the wheat emerging. Looks like grass, so it could be the green manure (rye). But more likely to be the wheat!
Starting to sprout, on 28th April 2012
